Gonna have to agree with everyone else, build the ultimate sleeper, conservative exhaust but with a cutout to freak people out at stoplights. Maybe a wagon or something boring.

Gotta go with the first gen. Way more sleeper, and much less shitty looking.

I'm going with the newer model because of the aerodynamics. It's absurdly slippery, which, when coupled with an LS1 drivetrain, means a recipe for an absolutely insane top speed. Also, the longer wheelbase will help with high-speed stability.

Finally, a RWD Alfa 159. Only like a 5 or so inch difference in the wheelbase. A Brera would also be acceptable.

That's an amusing idea, until one realizes that just revving the engine would twist up the frame like a handful of day-old ramen noodles.

That H-van would be bonkers with a Vette drivetrain under it.
I like the way you think.

I can respect that. But I'd be aiming for a less of a speed machine, and more of a fidgety, batshit-insane Prius-tire smoker. So I'd actually be happier with the lightweight, short-wheelbase old model, seeing as I'd probably run out of tire before hitting 50 mph anyway.
